Withdrawing From a Course
Occasionally, a student encounters personal or work changes that prevent the completion of a course. Students must notify the Summer Study office in writing to withdraw for a grade of “W” on their transcript.
Withdrawal deadlines are listed on the academic calendar for each session. Failure to officially withdraw from a course will result in a grade of “F” for that course.

Refund Schedule for Four-Week Sessions:
100% - BEFORE the start of class
80% - during the FIRST week
40% - during the SECOND week
0% - AFTER the SECOND week
Refund Schedule for Six-Week Sessions:
100% - BEFORE the start of class
80% - during the FIRST week
60% - during the SECOND week
40% - during the THIRD week
0% - AFTER the THIRD week

100% - BEFORE the start of class
80% - during the FIRST week
60% - during the SECOND week
40% - during the THIRD week
20% - during the FOURTH week
0% - AFTER the FOURTH week
**Non-refundable fees: Registration, lab, technology and late fees.
Fall and Spring Refund Schedule
A student who withdraws from a course may qualify for a refund according to the following schedule:
Refund Schedule for Fifteen-Week Sessions:
100% - BEFORE the start of class
80% - DROP after the first class but before 2nd with no course added
60% - WITHDRAW after second week but before start of third
40% - WITHDRAW after third week but before start of fourth
20% - WITHDRAW after fourth week but before start of fifth
0% - WITHDRAW after fifth week

100% - BEFORE the start of class
80% - DROP after 1st class but before 2nd with no course added
60% - WITHDRAW after second class but before start of third
40% - WITHDRAW after third class but before start of fourth
20% - WITHDRAW after fourth class but before start of fifth
0% - WITHDRAW after fifth class
