Taylor Garrison '20
Ph.D. Student

I graduated from Muhlenberg with a BA in history in 2020. After undergrad, I worked at the National Canal Museum and Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society. Now, I am a combined MA/ PhD student at William & Mary. I earned my MA in history from W&M in 2023 with a thesis composed of two papers: "Convincing the Lady: Courtship, Marriage, and the Creation of the American Man" and "The Charms of Our Sex: Defining the Collective Female Sex in Eighteenth-Century Newspapers." My time at Muhlenberg prepared me for graduate school through close faculty mentoring, discussion-based classes, and the honors thesis writing experience.
