I graduated from Muhlenberg in 2024 as a Mathematics and History double major. After taking my first few history courses, I was hooked! Throughout my experience taking a variety of history courses, and participating in faculty-led and independent research within the History department, I found a passion for research and interrogating historical sources, both primary and secondary. As a History major, I gained confidence in asking questions and improved my reading comprehension, which is critical no matter what path I chose to pursue post-undergrad.

Currently, I am working as a Survey Technician at a civil engineering firm, Whitman, Requardt, & Associates, LLP, in Baltimore MD. I didn't have a clear career path after graduation, but with a little luck and perseverance I was able to find a job in which I'm able to use the analytical skills I gained as a Math and History double major! I get to use my research skills as I navigate various state archives to investigate property ownership though deed records. The History department at Muhlenberg is one of a kind and I couldn't have imagined my four years without their support and mentorship in and outside of the classroom!
