Aggie Ebrahimi Bazaz (Media Comm / Film Studies) was one of four filmmakers selected to collaborate with the Field of Vision team to investigate a specific research issue pertaining to her documentary film, Ser y Estar(currently in pre-production). Field of Vision is a visual journalism publisher founded in 2015 by filmmakers Laura Poitras, AJ Shnack, and Charlotte Cook. On Thursday September 29, Aggie and her Field of Vision collaborator, researcher John Thomason, presented the results of their findings to an international audience that included the Field of Vision founders, documentary filmmakers, and festival programmers at the Int'l Documentary Association's Getting Real Conference in Los Angeles.
