Aggie Ebrahimi Bazaz, assistant professor of media & communication, was awarded a residency in the Film / Video Studio Program of the Wexner Center for the Arts. The Wexner Center's Film/Video Studio program invites approximately 20 filmmakers and video artists from around the world to work at the Wexner Center each year. As part of this program, Ebrahimi Bazaz will work with one of the Wexner's renowned video editors to make advances in editing her documentary film-in-progress, SER Y ESTAR (TO BE AND TO BE). This film follows a community of migrant farmworking families in California's Central Valley, seeking rituals of rootedness even within conditions of ongoing transience. Ebrahimi Bazaz will reside at the Wexner intermittently during the spring and summer.
