We believe you can learn the most when your classroom studies are paired with real-world experiences.

Those experiences come in many forms, from internships to research projects to semesters spent halfway across the globe. Muhlenberg faculty and staff are committed to ensuring that you make the most of these opportunities. Gain new insights into the world, discover what it feels like to take risks and acquire a deeper understanding of the world around you.

Internships & Externships

Internships and externships offer valuable opportunities to gain practical experience, allowing students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings, explore career interests and enhance their employability by acquiring relevant skills and insights.

Research Opportunities

Undergraduate research at Muhlenberg is an immersive experience involving the sciences, the arts and the humanities. Students are able to dive into any subject matter that captures their imagination and can work with experienced faculty to conduct research and have result published in peer-reviewed journals or presented at conferences.

Study Abroad

Visiting and living in a different location provides limitless opportunities for learning and growth — both academically and personally. Muhlenberg students can travel abroad for short periods as part of a semester’s course in our MILA program or for semester-long excursions, some of which are led by Muhlenberg faculty.
