What are the business hours of the Plant Operations offices?
During the academic year the offices are open Monday through Friday 8am-5pm
During the summer months, the offices are open Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30 pm
How do I ID A Plant Operations Staff person?
Each member of the Plant Ops staff should be wearing a Muhleberg ID badge that should be visible.
Contracted workers should be wearing a temporary ID badge.
When will Plant Ops staff enter student rooms?
Plant ops staff will only enter rooms after 9am unless prior arrangements have been made. In an emergency they will enter as needed. Plant Ops staff are required to knock loudly and announce their entry prior to opening the door.
Whom do I contact for maintenance issues( i.e. light bulb out, leaking faucet, etc.)?
Contact your RA or RL. You can also go to the Plant Operations website and fill out a work request.
Whom do I contact in the event of an emergency maintenance issue(i.e. ceiling or roof leak, overflowing toilet, etc.) ?
Contact Plant Ops during normal business hours (3400) and Campus Safety (3112) after regular hours.
Whom do I contact if I am locked out or lost a key to my room?
Contact your RA / RL or Residential Services. These requests must be approved by the Office of Residential Services.
May I install an air conditioner in my room?
AC units may only be installed and removed by Plant operations staff. The office of Residential Services must approve the installation.
