In accordance with federal regulations, the 1098T forms will be available by January 31.
Muhlenberg partners with Heartland ECSI to distribute the forms. It is recommended that online access in created with Heartland ECSI for earliest receipt of the forms, as well as being able to have 24/7 access for generating multiple forms if necessary.
Students are able to create access and obtain the 1098T form on the Heartland ECSI website: https://heartland.ecsi.net/.
To access their 1098-T statement online, students will need their:
- First and Last Name
- Social Security Number
- Zip Code that appears on their 1098-T form
- (home address as on record at Muhlenberg)
Electronic Access
It is recommended that students GRANT ACCESS to obtain the form online. Why?
- Able to access 24/7 or create duplicate forms at any time.
- Students receive an email in their Muhlenberg email, notifying them the form is available.
Paper Forms
- If electronic access has not been granted, a form will be mailed to the home address.
- There is NOT any notification sent indicating the form has been mailed.
***Items to remember:
The federal regulation for distribution of the 1098T sets January 31 as the deadline to mail or make the form available. Those who are receiving paper forms may not receive them until mid-February.
Not all students are eligible to receive a 1098T form.
Students must be:
- at least a half-time student, U.S. citizen or eligible resident alien, and have a valid Social Security number on record with the College.
- a Muhlenberg matriculating student in an accredited program (not certificate.)
