As the newest member of the Corporate Affiliates Program, the city of Allentown will grant its more than 900 employees, along with their spouses, partners and children, access to substantial scholarships through tuition discounts as they pursue their educational goals.

This partnership reflects the College’s commitment to community engagement and workforce development. By collaborating with Allentown's diverse workforce — from dedicated public servants to administrative professionals — Muhlenberg College’s goal is to empower local professionals with the tools and knowledge necessary to excel in their respective fields, advance their careers and contribute more effectively to our community's growth.

“This collaboration between the city of Allentown and Muhlenberg College represents a unique opportunity to invest in our workforce and their families,” says Allentown Mayor Tuerk. “Education is a cornerstone of our city’s future, and by providing these scholarships, we are not only empowering our employees to grow personally and professionally but also strengthening the fabric of our community as a whole.”

Muhlenberg College President Kathleen Harring says, "Muhlenberg and Allentown have long enjoyed a great partnership and this particular collaboration allows Muhlenberg to contribute even more to our home city's collective growth and well-being. Colleges like ours have critical roles to play in their communities. At Muhlenberg, we take that responsibility very seriously.”
