Brynnmarie Dorsey and Mike Becker Recognized at 2019 Honors Convocation

Announced at Honors Convocation, the Hamre Prizes are awarded in recognition of the most significant contributions made by administrative employees, including managers, staff associates and service personnel, during the past year. This year the awards were presented by President John I. Williams Jr. and the citations were read by Trustee Julie Hamre '72.

In her citation, Dorsey was noted for her work implementing the recommendation of an extensive consultant report and overhauling the model of service for the College's student population. Dorsey is a previous recipient of the College's Chairman Award.
Mike Becker, manager of facilities, trades & systems in the Office of Plant Operations, was named the second prize awardee of this year's Hamre Prize. Becker (left) is congratulated by President John I. Williams Jr.
In his citation, Becker was noted for his commitment to an energy and sustainability initiative that resulted in more effective monitoring of student residence temperature settings while also saving the College significant funding through the pursuit of temperature control rebate programs. Becker is a previous recipient of a Muhlenberg Peer Recognition Award - Service Personnel of the Year.
