'Berg 2010 Entrepreneurial Studies Innovation Challenge

The Muhlenberg College Entrepreneurial Studies Innovation Challenge will be held Thursday, April 29, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Ettinger, second floor.

The Challenge is open to all current Muhlenberg students to create a present an innovative proposal that solves a problem or fills a gap in the marketplace. Participants will have the chance to win “seed money” to help get their idea off the ground.

This challenge will feature 10 student projects. Some of the students’ projects include a Virtual Fitness Trainer designed to coordinate and improve athletic teams' fitness programs, a "green" event planning and certification organization, a "virtual waiter" smartphone application, and an organization designed to launch the careers of emerging dance artists.

The six judges who will evaluate the projects and choose the winners of are Bill Miers, retired entrepreneur, member of Muhlenberg Board of Trustees; Duane Tolson, Business Development Liaison for the City of Allentown; Roland Kushner, Assistant Professor of Business at Muhlenberg; David Olson, CEO of Walton Consulting in Allentown; Stuart Rogers, owner of S.G. Properties, a commercial real estate firm; Jon Dubbs, Certified Culture Compass™ Coach with Walton Consulting.
