Lehigh Valley Non-Profit and Government Representatives to Hold Panel Discussion at ‘Berg
On Thursday, October 2, Muhlenberg College will host a panel discussion “All Politics is Local,” with Lehigh Valley based not-for-profit and government representatives at 7 p.m. in Miller Forum, Moyer Hall.Tuesday, September 30, 2008 11:22 AM
The event is free and open to the public.
Panel speakers will include Vicky Kistler, Director of the Allentown Health Bureau, Christopher Kocher, Executive Director of Wildlands Conservancy, and Ann MacManus, Executive Director of Second Harvest Food Bank
Panel discussion will focus on the connection between national elections and state and local public policies and elections. Other topics may include health care, education, housing and the homeless and local environmental and sustainability issues.
The discussion is part of a semester-long series, 2008: Politics, Ethics and Citizenship, sponsored by the College’s Center for Ethics.
2008: Politics, Ethics and Citizenship is presented in cooperation with the Political Science Department’s Election Series and co-sponsored by the Lectures and Forums Committee, with assistance from the Departments of Art, Media & Communication and Theatre & Dance, and the Muhlenberg Activities Council and the Multicultural Center.
