The Nrithyanjali Dancers To Perform At ‘Berg
Muhlenberg College will host a performance by the Nrithyanjali Dancers on Thursday, October 25 at 7 p.m. in Miller Forum, Moyer Hall.Monday, October 22, 2007 01:59 PM
The event, co-sponsored by the Center for Ethics and Facing East/Facing West, is free and open to the public.
The Nrithyanjali Dancers are part of the Nrithyanjali Institute of Dance, a non-profit, tax-exempt organization with a mission to preserve and promote Classical Indian art forms. They have presented numerous programs to promote and popularize Indian arts in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and India.
Ramya Ramnarayan, director of the company, is internationally known for her artistry in performance and her success as a teacher, as well as for her creative exploration of fusion forms of dance utilizing the Classical Bharata Natyam vocabulary.
