Muhlenberg College Welcomes Former Israeli Philharmonic Performer Roman Rabinovich

Muhlenberg College will welcome pianist Roman Rabinovich on March 16, 2007. Rabinovich, a student at the Curtis Institute of Music, as well as a student of renowned performers Seymour Lipkin and Claude Frank, will play in Empie Theatre in the Baker Center for the Arts at 8 p.m.

He first began studying at age six in his native Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Before his 11th birthday, he made his Israel Philharmonic debut under the baton of Zubin Mehta. In 2005, he was winner of the competition for young orchestral soloists, and as a result, will appear with the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra and the Delaware Symphony Orchestra.

This year will be the 24th for the Muhlenberg College Piano Series. The Series has played a significant role in providing the Lehigh Valley community with astonishing performances by world-class artists. Tickets for the concert are $20 general Admission, $15 for senior citizens and $10 for students, and are available by phone at 484-664-3363.
