Muhlenberg College President Elected to CASE Board of Trustees
Dr. Peyton R. Helm, president of Muhlenberg College, has been elected to the board of trustees for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.Monday, August 20, 2007 01:59 PM
Helm is one of 12 trustees elected to the board by CASE membership via electronic ballot. The results were announced July 9 during the association’s annual membership meeting in Chicago. The 30-member board sets CASE policies, approves the annual budget and ensures sound management of the organization.
Helm, who will serve a three-year term as a trustee-at-large, is a long-time CASE faculty member, presenter and volunteer. He has served as chair for many CASE conferences, most notably the CASE Summer Institute in Educational Fundraising from 2000 to 2004. In 2001, he received the CASE Crystal Apple Award for Teaching Excellence. Helm is also a former chair of CASE District I.
Prior to his current position as president of Muhlenberg College, Helm held advancement positions at Colby College and the University of Pennsylvania.
Helm is a graduate of Yale University and holds a doctoral degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
