Muhlenberg College Hosts Tribute To Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
On January 18 at 7:30 p.m., Muhlenberg College will host The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Event: A Celebration in Song. The event, held in Empie Theatre, Baker Center for the Arts, is free and open to the public.Wednesday, January 10, 2007 01:59 PM
The Reverend Dr. James A. Forbes, Jr., senior minister at the Riverside Church in Manhattan, will provide the keynote speech entitled, “Spiritual Renewal and the Restoration of Justice.” Forbes has been recognized by Ebony as one of American’s greatest black preachers and by Newsweekas one of the 12 “most effective preachers” in the English Speaking world.
Also featured will be The Union Baptist Church Mass Choir and ACCO (A Chorus Celebrating Women).
This event is sponsored by the Muhlenberg College Multicultural Center.
