The Wescoe School Of Muhlenberg College Hosts Panel Discussion On Accounting

The Wescoe School of Muhlenberg College will hold an evening of information for adults interested in exploring the possibilities of a career in accounting on Monday, November 13 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Alumni of The Wescoe School will speak on a panel representing various types of organizations: big four professional services (CPA), international pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and regional CPA. Participants include: Mayra A. Avila of Latin America Region Finance, IMS Health; Steven Eck of Deloitte & Touche LLP; Kim Kametz of Olympus Imaging America  Inc.; Kelly R. Lauer of Rothstein, Kass & Company, P.C.; and Susan Rhoads-Procina of Dimensions Acquisition, LLC.

Panelists will discuss: career change and growth, the importance education plays in job advancement, how to effectively “sell yourself,” and current trends within the profession. A question-and-answer session will follow with light refreshments and professional networking opportunities.

Wescoe School academic advisors will be on hand to assist attendees interested in discussing evening/weekend study options for pursuing a degree (associate’s, bachelor’s) or a certificate in Accounting.
