The campus Greening Committee and the student group EnACT are proud to report a significant increase in campus recycling.

In 2005 , the Muhlenberg campus increased their tonnage of recycled commingled bottles, cans, and plastic by more than 5 times what was recycled in 2004. There was also an increase in the tonnage of recycled paper and corrugated cardboard by more than 2 times what was recycled in 2004.

The recycling committees showed their passion for this struggle during the move-in periods in the fall of 2004 and 2005, the “The Green Team” collected for recycling nearly 100% of cardboard that would have otherwise headed towards land-fills.
