Muhlenberg College Plans Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Event
The Muhlenberg College Office of Multicultural Life and the Chapel are pleased to announce a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration event, “Dream Realized, Dream Deferred?” on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. in the Egner Memorial Chapel.Friday, January 13, 2006 01:59 PM
This event is free and open to the public.
“Dream Realized, Dream Deferred” features commentaries by Roberta Meek, Dr. Alec Marsh (English), Charles Anderson (Dance) and a special staging of Zorro and the Director written by Marsh and directed by Troy Dwyer (Theatre).
The event also features The Wall of Hope, a display of pictures and narratives about nonviolent resistance throughout centuries. The Wall of Hope will be available for viewing in the Egner Memorial Chapel until March 3, 2006.
The College’s Office of Multicultural will continue to honor Dr. King throughout the month, providing van transportation for ‘Berg students to hear the Reverend Al Sharpton speak at Lehigh University’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration on January 24, 2006. Students interested in receiving transportation to this free event must RSVP to the Office of Multicultural Life by January 20, 2006.
