Internationally Known Pianist Peter Frankl To Open Piano Series At Muhlenberg College

Peter Frankl, recognized as a major pianist of his generation, will perform at Muhlenberg College on September 15, 2006.

Frankl has a long standing international career which has taken him to more than 50 countries as recitalist, chamber musician and as a soloist with many of the worlds great conductors.

Frankl’s playing combines romanticism and inspiration with vivacity and color. A highly versatile performer, his repertoire ranges extensively from classics to contemporary music. Frankl is also part of the faculty of the Yale University School of Music. According to Le Monde de la Musique, “Frankl’s musical world appears in a deep place that only masters can reach.”

This year will be the 24th for the Muhlenberg College Piano Series, which has played a significant role in providing the Lehigh Valley community with astonishing performances by world-class artists.

The Muhlenberg College Piano Series is supported by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency, through its regional arts funding partnership, funding comes through an annual appropriation by Pennsylvania’s general Assembly and from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. PPA is administered in this region by the Lehigh Valley Arts Council.
