‘Berg Alum Works On Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
The work of Muhlenberg alumnus Douglas Cornwell ’75 will be featured on an upcoming edition of the hit ABC reality show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.Monday, May 8, 2006 01:59 PM
Cornwell is the executive director of operations for Alure Home Improvements, Inc., a company that is a contractor for the award-winning program. The company has worked on five previous renovations for the show.
Each episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is self-contained and features a race against time on a project that would ordinarily take at least four months to achieve, involving a team of designers, contractors and several hundred workers who have just seven days to totally rebuild an entire house -- every single room, plus the exterior and landscaping.
Long Island-based Alure Home Improvements is a remodeler specializing in kitchens, baths, finished basements, siding, windows, roofing and sunrooms.
While at Muhlenberg, Cornwell played football and lacrosse and was a brother of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. on ABC. The episode featuring the work of Alure Home Improvements will run on May 14.
