Jane Hudak, associate dean of the Wescoe School of Muhlenberg College, and Joseph Kornfeind, director of the Wescoe School’s business administration program, will present “Mentoring: Bridging the Gap for the Accelerated Program” at the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning’s (CAEL) international conference in San Diego this November.
The presentation will focus on the following topics: mentoring, selecting an advisor or mentor, the importance of academic advising, and the mentor/student relationship.
The Wescoe School’s accelerated degree program boasts a 90% completion rate, due in part to a strong emphasis on outstanding academic advising and mentoring programs. “We have seen first hand how good mentoring and good academic advising help students reach their full potential,” says Kornfeind. “The expertise the mentors and advisors provide is unique to the Wescoe School, which continues to place the quality of the programs and the quality of the students above all else.”
