Muhlenberg College Student Honored For Service To Hillel

Justin Deutsch, a junior communication major at Muhlenberg College, was honored with the Morton R. and Myra D. Levy Hillel Leadership Award on April 13. The award is given by the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley and consists of a $250 cash gift, a $250 subsidy for future conference attendance and a signed print by Israeli artist Rebecca Stone.
The award is presented for outstanding leadership to Hillel, the Foundation for Jewish Campus Life. Deutsch, a past president of Muhlenberg’s Hillel chapter, is sports director of WMUH, the Muhlenberg College radio station. He is also a campus tour guide, a member of the Cardinal Key Society and active in numerous community service projects.
Deutsch, who is currently studying abroad at the University of New South Wales in Australia, is the son of Atty. & Mrs. Eric Deutsch, of Sudbury, Mass.
Founded in 1848, Muhlenberg is a highly selective liberal arts college in Allentown, Pa.
