Muhlenberg College has planned the following memorial programs for Thursday, September 11:
8:46-9:03a.m. – Moment of silence, followed by the tolling of the bell
4 p.m. – Plaque of Remembrance Dedication, Serenity Garden (west side of Gabriel House). Dedicated to the memory of four members of the Muhlenberg community who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, the plaque will eventually be placed at a memorial site in the renovated Life Sports Center.
4:30 p.m. – Panel discussion: “How Did We Get Here?: Discussions on Our Current Cultural and Political State on the Second Anniversary of September 11th.” Panelists: Dr. Thomas P. Cartelli, English; Dr. S. Moshin Hashim, political science; Dr. John W. Malsberger, history; Dr. James D. Schneider, communication. Dr. Beth Schachter, theatre and dance, will serve as moderator. Seegers Union.
