Fifty-two students at the Wescoe School of Muhlenberg College, formerly known as Muhlenberg Evening College, will receive their degrees Saturday, October 12, 11 a.m., in the Egner Memorial Chapel. The graduates have completed programs in business administration, human resource management and information systems.

The commencement speaker will be Paul Marin, a 1999 graduate of the Wescoe School. Marin is senior vice president of UBS/Paine Webber where he heads the Marin Group, providing investment services to institutional and high-net-worth clients. He recently moved his operation from the UBS/Paine Webber headquarters in New York City to the Lehigh Valley.

Marin and his wife, Joyce, reside in Emmaus, Pa., where they have restored a Victorian mansion and operate it as the Heritage House Bed & Breakfast. They have supported numerous community activities in the Lehigh Valley through board memberships of non-profit organizations such as the Allentown Symphony Orchestra, the Emmaus Main Street Program, the Emmaus Rotary Club and the 1803 House.

The Wescoe School of Muhlenberg College provides adult learners with an opportunity to pursue lifelong education, and to do so in ways that recognize their experience, maturity, motivation, and life circumstances, and capacity for independent scholarship. It encompasses the Accelerated program, Summer Study and the liberal arts program.
