Muhlenberg College proudly announces its additions to the faculty for the academic year 2002-2003.
Patricia Bracci, visiting lecturer in Italian, attended Istituto Tecnico Commerciale A. Genovesi in Italy where she received her degree as a business specialist in foreign corresponding. She received her M.A. in French and English language and literature at Salerno University in Italy.
Harry Brown, visiting lecturer in English, joins us from Lehigh University where he taught American literature and composition. Brown holds a B.A. in English from the University of Scranton and an M.A. in English from Lehigh University. Brown is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Lehigh, where his central topic of study focuses on Native American Literature.
Flor Buitrago, visiting lecturer of Spanish, comes to Muhlenberg College from Moravian College. She received her M.A. in Spanish literature from the University of Western Ontario in Canada and B.A. in Spanish language from the University of Guelph, also in Ontario. Most recently, Buitrago directed the LVAIC study abroad program to Mexico.
Greg Cicconetti, instructor of mathematical sciences, joins us from the University of Connecticut, where he received his M.S. and Ph.D. in statistics. He also holds a B.A. in mathematics from Rutgers College and an M.S. in pure and applied mathematics from Montclair State University.
Patricia Conrad, visiting lecturer of French, received her B.A. in French from Wittenberg University, her M.A.T. in French from Smith College, and her A.A. in Respiratory Therapy from Cuyahoga Community College.
Marten Edwards, assistant professor of biology, joins Muhlenberg College from Ohio Wesleyan University. Edwards received his B.A. in biology from Reed College, and his Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Arizona.
Thomas Gardner, visiting professor of philosophy, most recently taught at Purdue University, where he received his Ph.D., writing his dissertation on "Physicalism and Qualia." He received his B.A. from Roberts Wesleyan College and his M.A. from the State University of New York.
Jason Kelsey, assistant professor of environmental science, joins us from Marymount University in Virginia. Kelsey received a B.A. in English and geology from Lafayette College. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in environmental toxicology from Cornell University.
Lissa McCullough, assistant professor of religion, comes most recently from Hanover College in Indiana where she instructed courses in theological studies. McCullough obtained her B.A. in modern society and social thought from the University of California at Santa Cruz, her M.T.S. in Christianity and culture from Harvard Divinity School, and her Ph.D. in theology from the University of Chicago Divinity School.
David McGuire, visiting assistant professor of chemistry, joins us from a consulting firm specializing in controversial environmental analyses. McCullough graduated from St. Vincent College with a B.S. in chemistry and mathematics, studied chemistry and physics at Johns Hopkins University, received his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in analytical and inorganic chemistry, and now acts as a post-doctoral fellow at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
Susan Ross, visiting assistant professor of communication, joins us from Hamilton College. Ross attended the University of Colorado where she obtained her B.A. in German and English, the University of Maryland where she received her M.A. in German language and literature, and Pennsylvania State University where she obtained her Ph.D. in speech communication.
Mark Stein, assistant professor of history, comes to Muhlenberg College from Saint Mary's College. Stein attended Northwestern University, where he earned his B.A. in history. He earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in history at the University of Chicago.
Yung Margaret Tsao, lecturer of biology, comes to the College from Lehigh Carbon Community College. Tsao's degrees include a B.S. in zoology from National Taiwan University, as well as a M.A. in zoology from Syracuse University in N.Y.
Kevin Tuttle, visiting lecturer of art, joins Muhlenberg College as a drawing instructor. At Kansas City Art Institute, Tuttle received his B.F.A. in painting, and at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, earned his M.F.A. in painting and sculpture.
Connie Tesh Wolfe, assistant professor of psychology, joins the College from Hanover College. She received her B.A. in psychology from Ohio University, her M.A. in psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and her Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Michigan.
