Ellison Findly, professor of religion at Trinity College, will speak at Muhlenberg College on Wednesday, November 6, Seegers Union 110, 7:30 p.m. Her lecture is titled "Buddhist Nuns: The Struggle and the Promise."
Findly is the editor of "Women's Buddhism, Buddhism's Women: Tradition, Revision, Renewal" and co-editor of "Women, Religion, and Social Change." She has also published extensively on India art and texts, and the lives of women in India, particularly during the Mughal empire.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
