Muhlenberg College's Office of Multicultural Life will sponsor a panel discussion titled "A Call to Action: A New Agenda," Thursday, October 25, 7:30 p.m., in the Egner Memorial Chapel. The discussion is free and open to the public.
Six panelists and moderator William Scott, Chair of Africana Studies at Lehigh University, will address issues of social equity, focusing on strategies and solutions that the African-American community and the larger community as a whole can work together to create and implement.
Panelists are Renay Scales, Director, Office of Social Equity at Kutztown University; Sheila Newkirk-Squire, Assistant Principal, Allentown School District; Rev. Gregory J. Edwards, Pastor of the Church without Walls; Phyllis Alexander, Consultant, Alexander Unlimited; Gregory Lawrence, CEO, President of Antares Records; and Stan Nowak, Penn State Lehigh Valley Associate Professor Emeritus of Spanish, humanities and social science.
