This graduate program allows students to earn both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in only five years.

Admissions Requirements

Program Structure

  • Duration
    The MAT program can be completed as a 4+1 by traditional undergraduate students, meaning students can earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree in just five years. The program is also available as a standalone Master of Arts degree to non-Muhlenberg students. 

    At Muhlenberg, the student teaching experience is a full professional semester, including two units of student teaching and two units of seminars that support the development of professional identity and effective assessment and evaluation practices. 

  • Learning Modality
    The MAT program is mainly a residential, face-to-face program with some hybrid learning opportunities available.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Each course in the Teaching Program costs $850 per credit hour or $3,400 per course. Tuition includes all books, technology fees, student teaching fees and other course-related costs. Please visit our financial aid page for more information.
