Earn your Bachelor’s Degree and Master of Arts in Teaching in just five years with this education program.
No matter where you are on your current journey as an educator, earning a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) from the Muhlenberg College School of Graduate Studies can help you expand your knowledge and embrace new skills. This graduate program allows students to earn both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in only five years.
Our education programs are highly regarded for the way they prepare students to be excellent educators who want to make a positive impact on their communities. Teachers who complete our graduate program tend to remain in the profession for a long time compared to the general teaching population.
Duration
The MAT program can be completed as a 4+1 by traditional undergraduate students, meaning students can earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree in just five years. The program is also available as a standalone Master of Arts degree to non-Muhlenberg students.
At Muhlenberg, the student teaching experience is a full professional semester, including two units of student teaching and two units of seminars that support the development of professional identity and effective assessment and evaluation practices.
Each course in the Teaching Program costs $850 per credit hour or $3,400 per course. Tuition includes all books, technology fees, student teaching fees and other course-related costs. Please visit our financial aid page for more information.
