This fall, the School of Graduate Studies will add two programs to our graduate offerings: a graduate certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT).

The DEI program is a five-course certificate designed to help individuals develop transformative practices for an equitable and just society. The innovative curriculum combines academic foundations with professional practice. Courses are led by Muhlenberg faculty and distinguished community leaders. The program is online and can be completed in a year.

The MAT is aimed at two distinct groups of students. First, it is an accelerated 4+1 program for Muhlenberg students pursuing teaching certificates through our outstanding Education program, allowing students to complete their undergraduate and graduate degrees and their teaching licensure requirements in just five years. And second, Adult students entering through the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education (GCE) will now have the opportunity to pursue the MAT in addition to their teacher certification.

These programs are significant additions to the College’s offerings.

Current and future teachers will gain the practical skills they need to be effective in the classroom. In addition, organizational leaders will learn to create more equitable and inclusive organizations, extending the College’s positive impact on local and regional communities.

We are accepting applications for Fall 2023 admissions. Alum discounts and scholarships are available.
