I teach courses in Muhlenberg’s Accelerated Degree Program and have taught first year seminars titled: Quality, Learning, Working and Knowing, Money and Meaning and Confronting Disaster, Why We Work and am currently teaching Business and Society as part of the Business and Public Health cluster.
Prior to coming to Muhlenberg, I spent fifteen years in the business world, working for Chase Manhattan Bank and for the Union Carbide Corporation. I was also on the faculty of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Prior to receiving my Ph.D., I worked in the steel industry, the railroad industry and in management consulting.
Research, Scholarship or Creative/Artistic Interests
My current research interests include managing risk in manufacturing and service environments and in supply chains, both in terms of applying analytical methods to arrive at more informed and better decisions. I am also interested in sustainability as practiced in business environments, simulation modeling and decision-making methodologies. I have published more than 50 papers in journals, as book chapters and in conference proceedings.
