Teaching Interests

Elizabeth Manus, collaborative pianist and vocal coach, serves as a staff pianist in the Music Department of Rowan University, Glassboro, NJ.  Elizabeth is also on the piano faculty of Muhlenberg College, Allentown, PA, and the accompanying staff of the Pennsylvania Girl
Choir.  

Elizabeth served as a pianist and vocal coach for the opera program at West Chester University. In 2018, during a sabbatical position at Neumann University, she taught private voice and piano lessons, and directed the University Chorale.
Elizabeth has served as accompanist for the Bucks County Choral Society, Lutheran Summer Music Festival, Foulger International Music Festival, and pianist//vocal coach for the Germantown Institute for the Vocal Arts, Philadelphia, PA.  While accompanying for the Strings International Music Festival in Philadelphia, Elizabeth performed with the festival chamber orchestra in Verizon Hall of the Kimmel Center.  She also performed at the Kimmel Center as part of the Celebration of 150 years of Steinway Pianos.

Collaborating with singers and choirs, and playing for vocal and instrumental competitions or recitals, demonstrate  Elizabeth’s versatility in performing in any musical situation. She also has considerable experience playing keyboard parts in orchestras such as Kennett, Delaware,York and Lancaster Symphonies. She performed with New York & Philadelphia Choral Arts Societies and the Delaware Symphony in a performance of Mahler's 8th Symphony at Avery Fisher Hall in New York and the Academy of Music in Philadelphia.  She offers piano accompanying and coaching services on her website: https://www.elizabethmanus.com

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Curtis Institute of Music, and University of the Arts,
Elizabeth’s teachers have included Susan Starr, and Vladimir Sokoloff.  While pursuing a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance at the University of the Arts, she received the Ezerman Piano Award, recognizing excellence in performance, and the President’s Award for Academic and Artistic Achievement. Overseas musical studies include a Diploma in Piano and Chamber Music from L’ecole D’ Art Americaines, Fontainbleau, France. Elizabeth also has training on organ from studies with David Spicer and Robert Elmore.
