Teaching Interests

love teaching because it keeps me connected to the creative process and allows me to share the excitement of discovery with my students. It’s inspiring to watch them grow and develop their own artistic voice, and I learn from them as much as they learn from me. Teaching also gives me the opportunity to explore ideas and experiment in ways that feed my own art practice. I value the relationships I build with students and the dynamic exchange of ideas in the classroom. For me, teaching is a way to continuously grow as both an artist and an educator.

Research, Scholarship or Creative/Artistic Interests

My research and scholarship are rooted in my lifelong exploration of art, from traditional drawing and painting to contemporary practices. I’ve always been interested in the relationship between visual perception and emotional expression, and my work reflects that. As an artist, I’m constantly experimenting with new ideas and techniques, and this curiosity extends to my research. Whether it's studying the works of masters or engaging with modern art forms, I strive to bridge historical and contemporary perspectives. My time as a Fulbright Specialist and my teaching experiences continue to inform my scholarship, pushing me to explore the intersection of art, education, and cultural exchange.
