Political Science at Muhlenberg emphasizes the development of responsible, thoughtful citizens who are eager and equipped to participate in the public realm. Our students are prepared for a wide variety of careers. Our recent graduates are elected officials, lawyers, leaders of non-profits, lobbyists, policy analysts, teachers, community development officers, corporate-government liaisons, city managers, diplomats and foreign service officers and intelligence officers.
Political science students receive exceptional preparation for graduate school and often continue their education at the nation's top graduate and law schools, including Harvard University Graduate School, Rutgers University’s Center for American Women in Politics, Cornell Law School, Boston University School of Law, University of Pennsylvania Law School, University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health, University of San Diego Peace and Justice Program and University of Washington School of Social Work.
