Since the Fall of 2020, Vaughn Stoffey has taught applied Jazz & Contemporary guitar to a diverse array of Muhlenberg students. Vaughn also directed Muhlenberg’s Jazz Improv Ensemble in Fall 2024, having spent a significant portion of his youth immersed in both the classical and jazz guitar traditions.
When not on campus, much of Vaughn’s time is spent touring the world as lead guitarist for Defeated Sanity, whose most recent album charted #8 on the Billboard Hard Rock and Heavy Metal charts upon its release in November 2024. Vaughn has performed in over forty countries across five continents.
Vaughn holds a Bachelor of Music from The New England Conservatory and a Master’s in Music from Manhattan School of Music.
