Yaghoobian comes to Muhlenberg from the University of Georgia, where he earned his Ph.D. in computer science. His B.S. in electrical engineering is from Azad University, Mashhad Branch in Iran.
Teaching Interests:
He enjoys teaching a wide range of courses, particularly the ones in which technical concepts can be infused with critical perspectives toward enriching students' technological imagination and generating new possibilities to push beyond the typical use of computational systems.
Research Interests:
His current research interests are at the intersection of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and Explainable AI (XAI), primarily focusing on computer-mediated practices in everyday life.
