Mission Statement

The purpose of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning is to collect and disseminate information about the operations of our college to internal and external stakeholders. The work of this office is collaborative and relies upon the cooperation of administrative staff and faculty across many departments and programs. Working within the Office of the Provost, OIEP values academic equity and information dissemination to inform and support program improvement.  To that end, the Office supports and manages the college-wide assessment plan and conducts analyses of organizational effectiveness. The Office also conducts research to evaluate institutional, academic and administrative programs in light of our College mission, strategic priorities, program goals and the strategic planning process.

 

Goals/Outcomes 

  • Timely collection and reporting of information to external reporting entities (e.g., IPEDS, HEDS, AICUP, NCAA)
  • Ensure timely completion of the annual academic and administrative assessments
  • Ensure timely completion or progress towards completion of the cycle of general academic (GAR) course assessment
  • Timely dissemination of internal requests for data used to measure program outcomes
  • Collection and analysis of data to measure program or organizational effectiveness
