Muhlenberg’s robust global education program offers study abroad opportunities around the world but students studying studying accounting, business, economics and finance can also explore a semester focused on business and economics courses at Maastricht University in the Netherlands and our Washington Seminar, where participants can live and work in Washington D.C. for a semester in a program made possible through a cohort of Lutheran-affiliated colleges.

Maastricht University Program: Made possible through the Center for European Studies at Maastricht University, this program takes place during the fall semester of your junior year. Students learn about European business, economics and politics in courses taught in English.

This program can help you deepen their global and cultural awareness in addition to their studies and provides the chance for visits to nearby France, Belgium and Germany to meet business and political leaders from these countries.

Semester in Washington D.C.: The Muhlenberg Semester in Washington, made possible through the 13-college cohort in the Lutheran College Washington Consortium, provides a chance for students to study and internship directly in our nation’s capital. This experience includes seminars and field trips that draw on the special cultural and political resources available in Washington. By living and working in the capital with students from other Lutheran colleges, you are provided a truly immersive experience. Students typically choose to participate in this program during the summer before junior or senior year.
