Grassroots Organizing Workshops (GROWs)

Nonviolent direct action and community organizing are often mechanisms that help to create change within and without oppressive systems. OML is pleased to offer workshops focused on the fundamentals of community organizing through the GROW Program.

The goal of GROW is to create a culture of organizing as a way to create change and build grassroots power within the College and Allentown community. It achieves this through student and employee-led interactive workshops and strategy sessions with an emphasis on moving theory into practice.

Workshop topics vary from specific skill building (reaching your base, the art and science of turnout) to practicing tactics and strategies (fundamentals of community organizing, accountability session simulations). If you would like to invite a facilitator to provide a GROW for your organization, classroom or department, please fill out the online form.
