2020 Celebration Image

Muhlenberg College honors the graduates of the Class of 2020 with an on-campus celebration weekend this October. Our 2020 alumni completed their undergraduate experience in the midst of a global pandemic, yet they persevered in the face of change and uncertainty. Muhlenberg is excited to reconnect and celebrate the accomplishments of the class this fall.

Based upon Class of 2020 feedback, the Class Celebration will be held Saturday, October 9 and Sunday, October 10. Primary events will be held on Saturday, October 9, and a full weekend schedule is available.

The Graduate Recognition Ceremony will be held from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 9. A live stream will be available 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony)

The College has reserved a limited number of rooms in the area for the weekend. Please view the Hotel Information page and follow the reservation links to inquire about a stay.

The Class of 2020 alumni may invite up to five guests to attend the Graduate Recognition Ceremony—which will also be livestreamed—and may bring one guest to the gala and the brunch. The College has been able to reserve a limited number of rooms in the area for the weekend.

Muhlenberg College COVID Information

Over the summer, the College instituted mandatory vaccination requirements for students, faculty and staff. Campus vaccination rates exceed 90%. The spread of the Delta variant across the nation has required a masking requirement for any indoor campus spaces (except when eating) and outdoor events with large crowds. For more information about our current COVID policies, please visit the coronavirus website.

Class of 2020 Celebration COVID Policies

To continue to prioritize the health and safety of our campus community, there is a COVID-19 vaccination requirement for the large-scale events we will be holding on campus this fall, including the Class of 2020 Celebration. Individuals must have received either two doses of Moderna or Pfizer or one dose of Johnson & Johnson, with the last dose being at least two weeks prior to the celebration weekend.

As part of the registration process, we ask that you and any guests that will attend the gala and brunch provide proof of vaccination. All proof of vaccination submissions will be maintained in an independent system and will not be kept beyond the event to maintain the privacy of individuals.

Guests attending only the recognition ceremony will not need to provide proof of vaccination, though they will be required to wear a mask for this indoor event.

For this weekend only, we will allow Class of 2020 alumni to submit medical documentation to receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement in order to attend. Information on how to submit this documentation will be provided with the registration form.

Please expect masking to be a requirement for many of the weekend activities as well. If you plan to attend and have a medical exemption, the event registration form will provide information on how to submit to the College.
