Rita Chesterton J.D./M.Ed.
Director Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program
Rita Chesterton earned her J.D. from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she practiced law prior to switching careers to pursue her passion for education. She then spent seven years in the classroom as a high school social studies teacher. In 2011 she completed her M.A. in Instructional Technology with a focus on how new technologies can change the current educational paradigm. Her desire to help classroom teachers integrate these technologies more simply led her to found Skaffl, LLC, a technology startup that created iPad applications for use in the K-12 classroom.
Currently, she the Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Muhlenberg College where she draws on her years of experience as an educator and entrepreneur to promote the advancement of entrepreneurial skills among the entire student body. A practicing entrepreneur, Chesterton is also involved in advising multiple startups including as a partner in Gapka Artisan Oil Paints. Chesterton also earned her MBA from Temple University in Philadelphia with a specialization in strategic management.
