Student Government Association
The Student Government serves as an executive instrument for directing student life and providing democratic government in all phases of student activity. Through its standing committees, the Student Government is involved in all aspects of Student life. The Muhlenberg College Student Government is a founding member of the American Student Government Association.
Structure
Student Government is made up of 22 members, consisting of 7 Class Representatives from three elected classes, and the Student Body President.
Funding
The Student Government General Fund is allocated one third of the Student Activities Fee. These funds are used to allocate to Student Government Funded Organizations through either budgets (submitted per semester) or Special Requests. See the Finance Manual for more details.
Student Organization Resources
Student Government maintains resources for use by recognized Student Organizations eligible for Student Government Funding (see the Finance Manual for eligibility requirements). The Student Organization helium tank and copier are located in the Club Resource Room in the lower level of Seegers Union in addition to various other resources. An access code is required to use the copier (refer to the Finance Manual for more details on these resources). The conference room located in the Student Life Suite is available for organization use by completing a Facilities Reservation Request Form (FRRF) with the Seegers Union Office.
