rough start for spring teams

The 2009 spring season at Muhlenberg did not get off on the right foot, as two Mules teams lost on the road to nationally ranked teams.

Men’s lacrosse fell behind 3-0 and never recovered in a 16-4 loss to No. 11 Stevens. Freshman Corey Aferiat recorded a goal and an assist in his collegiate debut.

Women’s tennis lost 8-1 to 27th-ranked New Jersey in its first match of the spring. The No. 3 doubles teams of sophomores Danielle Winston and Lindsay Schmidt gave the Mules their lone point with a 9-7 win.
