Prekindergarten to 4
The Pre K-4 certification program in Pennsylvania will have the first group of graduates in 2014. This new certification permits the candidate to teach in early childhood settings as well elementary schools up to grade 4.The program contains many of the same courses found in the original Kindergarten to 6th grade guidelines with an increase in the number of education courses. There are now a total of 14 education courses along with the cognate and major courses.
- A bachelor’s degree in any major offered at Muhlenberg

- 2 courses in mathematics (one must be Fundamentals of Mathematics or Shape & Symmetry)

For some students, this is a great way to earn a needed degree while they work toward a bachelor's degree. For others, an associate's degree provides the focused, two-year experience necessary to succeed. The Associate of Arts Degree requires the completion of 12 courses as General Academic Requirements and 5 courses in a concentration: Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, or Psychology.
