New Visions Director's Festival is presented every other year as part of the Mainstage Theatre & Dance season. The festival showcases the talents of senior directing students and features rarely produced, avant-garde works for theatre.It offers a rare opportunity for audiences to see the work of the next generation of up-and-coming theatre artists.
This year's festival will feature the work of four promising directors from the Class of 2013, presented in two evenings in repertory: a poetic and challenging full length play by Ellen McLaughlin, adapting the classical Greek story of the House of Atreus, and an evening of three one-act plays by Samuel Beckett, Will Eno, and Kobe Abe, exploring the topography of the world in our heads.
