The psychology major provides excellent preparation for post-graduate work in psychology and recent graduates have gone on to programs at Columbia, Lehigh, NYU, Penn State, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Texas at Austin, Notre Dame, the University of Georgia, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the College of William and Mary.
At the same time, the psychology major provides a strong liberal arts foundation for students interested in careers in the mental health field, medicine, law, marketing research, advertising and teaching at all levels. For example, recent psychology graduates are working as mental health counselors, lawyers, research assistants on behavioral medicine projects, project directors for marketing research departments, elementary school teachers, admissions counselors and investment advisors. Many psychology majors teach, and about a third of those majoring in psychology are also enrolled in the education program at Muhlenberg.
Are you a Muhlenberg Psychology alum who wants to share your recent accomplishments? We'd love to hear from you! Email a faculty member, or visit us on Facebook.
