John F. "Jack" Gross is an Allentown native. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in History, magna cum laude, from Muhlenberg College in 1994, and his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in Philadelphia in 1998. While at Villanova, Mr. Gross served as an associate editor of the Villanova Law Review, and he is a member of The Order of the Coif, an honor society reserved for the Law School's top graduates. He also received the Wyn Llewellyn Award for Client Counseling.

Before joining GMLE, Mr. Gross worked as the Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Jack A. Panella in Northampton County, PA. Prior to that, he interned with the Honorable Edward Cahn, former President Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Gross is a partner in the firm's media and internet law and commercial transactional practice groups. His practice primarily involves business law, transactional and real estate law, and advertising and media law. He frequently works with issues related to zoning and planning, business formation and sale, advertising (including email and online advertising), and regulatory compliance issues.

Mr. Gross is a member of the Lehigh County, Northampton County, and Pennsylvania bar associations. He serves on the Board of Communities in Schools of the Lehigh Valley and as secretary of the Lehigh Valley Business Coalition on Health Care. He also serves as vice chair of the Board of the Allentown Commercial and Industrial Development Authority and is a member of the Board of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross. In 2007 Mr. Gross was appointed to the Allentown Zoning Hearing Board as an alternate.

Mr. Gross has taught as an adjunct instructor at Muhlenberg College and Northampton Community College, and has presented at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's Technology Law Forum and Internet Law Update on issues related to email and online advertising.
