Important Changes to the 2012-2013 Student Policy and Resource Guide

Sexual Misconduct Policy - The Student Sex Offense Policy has been replaced by the Sexual Misconduct Policy. The new policy includes more precise definitions of offenses and consent, and a deeper discussion of confidentiality, privacy, and reporting. Also included are statements of rights of the alleged victim and the accused. Attention has been paid to the equitable treatment of both parties, and the judicial process for sexual misconduct cases has been brought into full compliance with Title IX of the Educational Amendments Act of 1972.

Appeals Process – The appeals process has been modified to include a review of all appeals by an Appeals Board.  In addition, in cases of sexual misconduct, all determinations are subject to appeal by both the accused and the complainant.

Parking Rules & Regulations – Prior to this semester, a Boot was installed on a vehicle after five or more accumulated tickets.  Effective immediately, the number has been reduced to two or more accumulated tickets to include an additional fine of $200.00.
