The Counseling Center at Muhlenberg College is a safe, confidential place to meet with a licensed therapist for individual or group therapy.

We want your college experience to be rewarding, exciting and productive. These are formative years where you’re growing not only academically but personally. In order to address some of the more common concerns among college students regarding relationships, feelings of anxiety and depression, uncertainty and changes in identity, we offer short-term individual and group counseling.

Our treatment model aims to be brief and to help immediately manage symptoms, cope with challenges and identify and develop skills that cultivate positive outcomes. We assist you to make a desired change by focusing on how to resolve or effectively manage a specific problem or challenge. Unlike traditional therapy models, we aim to stay in the present and identify skills and strategies that will help relieve current issues or problems with proactive change.

Treatment may include: individual brief therapy, group or workshop, referral for psychiatry services, referral for longer term therapy or specialized treatment with a community provider, and/or referrals to other campus resources.

All our services are free and confidential.
