APRIL 18 & 19, 2013 -- CAP & GOWN PICK UP

Seniors must pick up their cap and gown at the Senior Fair in Seegers Union Great Room #113 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 18 or Friday, April 19.  A fee of $55 is due at time of pickup.  The regalia package includes cap, gown, hood, and tassel.  Cash, credit, debit or check payments are accepted.  Questions--please contact the Berg Bookshop at 484-664-3492.

11:00 a.m.          SENIOR CLASS MEETING - Mandatory for all Seniors!  – Memorial Hall

Professor Kathy Wixon (College Marshal), Provost John Ramsay and Registrar Deborah   Tamte-Horan will review procedures for Baccalaureate and Commencement.  Rain tickets for Baccalaureate and Commencement will be distributed at this time.  Students unable to attend MUST inform the Registrar’s Office in advance.  Please call 484-664-3056.

4:00 p.m.       CATHOLIC MASS - Egner Memorial Chapel

8:00 p.m.       GRADUATES ASSEMBLE IN THE GALLERIA, BAKER CENTER FOR THE ARTS, FOR THE  BACCALAUREATE PROCESSION

8:15 p.m.       PARENTS SHOULD BE SEATED FOR BACCALAUREATE

8:30 p.m.   BACCALAUREATE - College Green, front of Haas College Center (rain location Memorial Hall)                        No tickets are required if Baccalaureate is held outdoors

9:30 p.m.-Midnight     SENIOR CLASS FAMILY APPRECIATION RECEPTION  Seegers Union                    

Following Baccalaureate, graduates, parents, faculty, and staff are invited to celebrate the Class of 2013 at a reception hosted by President & Mrs. Helm.  A separate invitation will be sent to parents.  RSVP is necessary for the Senior Class Appreciation Reception.

10:00 a.m.               COMMENCEMENT - College Green, in front of the Haas College Center (rain location – Memorial Hall).  No tickets are required if Commencement is held outdoors. 

9:15 a.m.                   Graduates assemble in the Galleria, Baker Center for the Arts

9:30 a.m.                   Procession forms

9:50 a.m.                   Procession moves

10:00 a.m.                Commencement exercises begin

IMPORTANT:  IT IS REQUIRED THAT ALL GRADUATES ATTEND

COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES.  REQUESTS FOR EXCUSED ABSENCES

SHOULD BE MADE TO THE REGISTRAR’S OFFICE.

PLEASE NOTE:  Because of limited on-campus parking, early arrival is recommended.

RAIN POLICY 

• In the event of rain, Baccalaureate and Commencement will be held in Memorial Hall.
• Students will assemble in the Field House in the Life Sports Center.
• At the senior meeting on Saturday, May 18, graduates will receive three tickets each for Baccalaureate and Commencement.  These tickets will be necessary if either ceremony is held in Memorial Hall.  Those without tickets will not have access to any portion of Memorial Hall.
• Due to limited seating in Memorial Hall, closed circuit television viewing of Commencement will be available in the first-floor lobby of Seegers Union, The Red Door Café on the lower level, the classrooms of Moyer Hall, and the Lithgow Science Auditorium in Trumbower Hall.  Livestream webcast will also be available on the college website.
